LOOK WHAT WE FOUND!
As construction was just beginning on the new building, we
discovered that the previous owners had left behind a number of bike trainers.
For those who aren’t familiar with what a bike trainer is, it is an item which
allows a regular bike to be used as a stationary bike. Competitive cyclists
love them!
In any case, we found a treasure trove of barely used bike
trainers collecting dust, and were thrilled to donate them to support local
juniors racing and the Maryland Special Olympics! The trainers will be used as prizes for junior
athletes (ages 10-18) as well as athletes competing as part of the Maryland
Special Olympics at a bike race this Saturday, September 15 in Sykesville, MD.
If you know a young person interested in bicycle racing,
this is a great event for them to try. More information on the Junior’s Day Out and Maryland Special
Olympics Mid Atlantic Championships can be found here - https://www.bikereg.com/Net/17240
